A synthesis of individual and group instruction based on needs, skills and level.
The 8-week program includes topic review, instruction and homework. Homework includes problem solving related to concepts covered during class and practice tests. During each of the math and LA segments, we review the practice tests and then instruct students through new skills and strategies.
There is a maximum ratio of 6:1 during each session. The lead instructor teaches a topic and then students practice this topic; during practice students get individual support from our team of instructors.
Every Thursday from 6:30-8:30 during the session students are invited to drop in for additional support or practice problems. This is especially beneficial for students in need of additional topic based support.
This program includes:
– Math and language arts baseline assessments
– 32 hours of interactive instruction plus 32 additional test and support hours
– Weekly practice exams to isolate areas requiring additional emphasis
– Weekly review based on student errors
