Complementary Diagnostic Tests Offered at ExL Prep

The first step in our programs, whether your student is interested in a competitive high school or college, is to take a diagnostic assessment. Armed with the results from these tests, we are able to determine where students strengths and weaknesses are and make a recommendation to best help achieve their goals.

We offer complementary diagnostics for the following tests: MCVSD/MCVTS/MATES admissions, SAT/ACT, HSPT. More details on each of these assessments, and a registration links, can be found below.

MCVSD/MCVTS/MATES Diagnostic:

This test is designed for students applying to a competitive high school which requires a core curriculum admissions test. These school districts include the MCVSD, MCVTS, and MATES. This test is also beneficial for students who will be taking an SSAT and applying to a private school.
Over the past decade, more than 3,400 students have taken our diagnostic assessment. After sending your students results by email, we anonymously rank them compared to all students who have tested with us. We can then discuss your students results and goals in a scheduled conference call.

HSPT Diagnostic:

This test is designed for students applying to a high school which requires a HSPT. These include but are not limited to Trinity Hall, Christian Brothers Academy, Red Bank Catholic, Saint Rose, Saint John Vianney, etc. The HSPT is a notoriously difficult test; the national average for first time test takers is a 50%. The results from this test include a comprehensive breakdown by section and skill.

SAT/ACT Diagnostic:

This test is designed for a student in 10th or 11th grade who has completed Algebra 2. This full-length diagnostic identifies students strengths and weaknesses in a report broken down by section and skill.
